Picking up on this cue, innovative sportswear brand adidas has created a sleek streetwear line named adidas SLVR that aims to meld sports and fashion.

Although it aspires to high fashion concepts of quality design and materials, SLVR is marketed as an affordable range of wearable, fuss-free clothes for the modern urbanite. Launched just last year, it has already garnered a significant fan base. Its clean, smart aesthetics and use of high quality fabrics have won over many stylish individuals who appreciate the high comfort level of sportswear.

The A/W10 collection features classic sportswear silhouettes that have been given a contemporary update. In addition to ensuring a smart, polish look, much effort has been invested in the materials, which includes fine fabrics like French terry, cotton jersey and brushed twill. Look out for the Oxford nylon, a fusion fabric that has the structure of classic oxford shirting and the functional properties of sportswear nylon. This collection can best be described as ‘preppy-sporty’.
