Montblanc pays homage to some of the most charismatic screen sirens of the 20th century with its Diva line of exquisite writing instruments that celebrates the legendary talent, outstanding character and pure magnetism of these strong, elegant women who dominated the silver screen with their glamourous presence for decades. Following the success of the Greta Garbo Special Edition, Montblanc has launched two other collections in tribute to the equally renowned actresses Ingrid Bergman and Marlene Dietrich.

Ingrid Bergman
A fearless trendsetter, Ingrid Bergman exudes the grace and self-confidence worthy of the triple Academy Award-winning actress that she is. In her acting career that spanned half a century, Bergman appeared in more than 50 films. To celebrate her unrivaled status as a cultural icon, Montblanc launched the Ingrid Bergman Writing Jewel Collection, which consists of three styles – La Donna, L’Attrice and La Diva – that are inspired by the six years she stayed in Italy. All Ingrid Bergman writing instruments feature Montblanc’s 18-carat red gold nib with its distinctive heart-shaped incision and are crowned with the Montblanc iconic emblem. Each pen is also adorned with a lady-like amethyst; the royal purple of the precious stone is meant as a reference to the famous ‘air of nobility’ that Bergman projected both in her on-screen roles and her personal life.

Marlene Dietrich
Her sultry half-closed eyes and inimitable voice made her a cultural phenomenon. However, it was her bold fashion sense that enabled her mystical allure to transcend time. The Special Edition Marlene Dietrich is inspired by Miss Dietrich’s iconic trouser suits, which symbolised her revolutionary approach to femininity. Made of precious black resin, the cap is crowned with a mother-of-pearl inlay while the clip is designed to resemble a tie that is topped with a stunning sapphire. The hand-made, 18-carat gold nib features a beautiful heart-shaped hole. Montblanc’s second tribute to Marlene Dietrich is the limited edition Marlene Dietrich 1901 Commemorative Edition. The 925 sterling silver fountain pen is wrapped in an intricate herringbone pattern and embellished with diamonds and a single dark blue sapphire. Dietrich’s signature is engraved on all writing instruments from both editions.
