Tumi – 35 Years Of Quality And Style
American luggage brand Tumi opens its doors at Mandarin Gallery this week. Celebrating its 35th anniversary this year, the brand is renowned for its innovative design, superior craftsmanship and world-class service, having been awarded over 100 patents for product design. Their dedication to excellence has earned the brand a loyal following among the world’s most discerning and demanding travellers, including world leaders, tastemakers and celebrities.
For the women, the classics, Voyageur, Villa and Q totes appear in cool shades and are subtly stylish for Fall 2010. An all-encompassing collection for travel, business and daytime, Voyageur’s playful spirit comes to life in a palette of blackberry, rust, smoky quartz, slate blue and black python.
In python print and smoky quartz, the Avignon lightweight carry-on presents the professional woman traveller with multiple options in packing cases. The Just In Case tote, ever popular for its accessibility and adaptability, is now available in a handy roll-up style, perfect as a secondary travel bag, as well as in a new larger shopper tote size. For your delicates, the fold-up Lingerie roll as well as an assortment of travel bags for shoes and make-up, will all take on new looks in the seasonal hues.
The A/W10 mens Alpha collection exemplifies the forward thinking and superior craftsmanship of Tumi. The season’s look and feel is cool, calm and subdued, with travel accessories such as zip pouches, laptop covers, netbook cases and packing cubes, coming in slate blue, café and blackberry. Ideal for short weekend getaways or as a gym bag, the stylish oversized Weekender is re-introduced in Tumi’s signature ballistic nylon, available in the same palette of colours, with smart black leather trim adding the finishing touch.

Tumi has over the years clawed past Samsonite in my mind’s eye for luxurious and sturdy baggages… didn’t know there was an outlet at Mandarin Gallery!
